Program Statement
Project Rise is a cornerstone initiative of Project Returning Citizen, a fellowship designed to empower reentering citizens through entrepreneurship and business development. As a business incubator and accelerator, Project Rise provides fellows with essential skills, resources, and mentorship to transform their business ideas into successful enterprises. This program is dedicated to fostering innovation and self-sufficiency, enabling individuals to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Fellows receive comprehensive support, including workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching from experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders. They learn critical aspects of business, such as planning, financial management, marketing, and operations, ensuring they are fully equipped to navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business. By providing these vital skills, Project Rise helps fellows break the cycle of recidivism and achieve long-term success.
More than just a training program, Project Rise creates a supportive environment where fellows can connect with mentors, peers, and potential investors. This network of support is crucial in helping them gain the confidence and resources needed to succeed. Through Project Rise, we are not only building businesses but also fostering hope, resilience, and economic empowerment within communities impacted by incarceration.
